Southern Philippines: Muslim Insurgency Continues

Hard to believe the Muslim insurgency is still on-going.  The southern Philippines (Mindanao) is such a beautiful place--could be quite a tourist destination if they could quell the unrest
.   A recent Philippine news article highlights the dangers with AFP operations.  The U.S. continues to have several hundred special operations troops helping with Manila's counterinsurgency problem down south.
